Well I managed to bag a couple of last minute tix to this event and got some pretty good seats. As poor Terry has been struck down with the dreaded flu I was accompanied by Laura instead, so it was off to London for us yesterday.

We got there just before 6pm and had to queue up for a short time at the Box Office to collect our tix. I managed to meet up with some of the other girls from the Fan Club beforehand in the bar - gah the prices!! ?3.50 for a Smirnoff Ice!! *eek*

Anyway at about 7.15pm the show kicked off with Texas who started with Inner Smile - this one always reminds of Darren and the Affirmation concerts (not that I was there but they always played it before so I understand and they did again before the TCFC shows too). Anyway, I'm going off at a tangent already, so back to the show. Texas then performed their new song called Carnival of Love and finished with Say What You Want. The crowd were a bit subdued at first but gradually warmed up. Kym Marsh (formerly of Hearsay) was up next and she sang very prettily with Cry and a Xmas song.

The heat was really turned on though when Busted came on stage. All credit to these young lads because I gather that Charlie their lead singer was suffering from a severe throat infection but still turned up. They did Year 3000 and then sang a new song from their new album called Air Hostess. LOL they must have known that Angie was in the audience cos she used to be one and now currently works on the SAS desk at Heathrow airport. (I'm digressing again) Back to the show and I've never heard a rockier version of Hark the Herald Angels Sing in my life!! Gah the antics of those lads - Laura and I were in stitches at them *g* They finished off with Crashed the Wedding amid swirls and flurries of confetti like stuff being swooshed around the arena.

After Jamelia came on, the class act of the evening appeared in Sting. This man oozes class and is a truely top notch performer live! He started off with Shape of my Heart and suddenly who should appear but none other than Mr Craig David! They did a great duet together. The highlight of the night for me was when Sting performed Desert Rose. This is a truely beautiful piece of music which slowly builds up and up and filled the whole auditiorium with layers of sounds. He finished off his impressive set with Every Breath You Take - a Police classic

After an interval of about 15 minutes where we all made a quick dash for the loo, we came back to the second half of the show. Enrique kicked ass with a very lively rendition of Bailamos that had everyone on their feet and bopping along. After this he then proceeded to launch himself off the stage onto the catwalk as he was singing Escape. Well the irony of this song wasn't lost on me, because just as he was dashing down this catwalk, suddenly this mad lust fuelled woman appeared from the audience and jumped up on stage with him. She clung on to him and wouldn't let him go. The poor man needed at least 2 big burly bouncers to prise her free of him but in the process he lost his ear piece and microphone so had to dash back to the main stage to get reconnected. Meanwhile, down at the front of the auditorium a scuffle had broken out with this woman who by now appeared to be almost topless and she was still trying to get back on stage. They had to forcibly eject her from the arena. I think Enrique had a very narrow Escape from this particular nutter!! Anyway he was a glutton for punishment because not content with being mauled half to death by her he then invited some other girl up on stage to sing Hero with him. It was a case from one extreme to the other because she seemed to have complete stage fright and hardly dared to move. Mind you, he was pretty full on with his moves and she got plenty of attention and er kissing especially at the end of his performance when he took her backstage

The evening ended with the Sugarbabes and Lemarr. No sign of the D man though.

All in all a very entertaining and fun night
